Reflection

This module educated me about the possibility of parametric design and allowed me to experiment with a range of new Grasshopper extensions, such as Pufferfish, which I used in my own Pavillion design. I've also learned the value of critically refining and assessing my iterations in order to meet the brief and criteria set forth at the start of the module, as well as my design objective and theme. During this module, I was able to narrow down my design and make minor tweaks near the end of the iteration process, ensuring that all design elements relevant to my concept and brief, such as hierarchy, scale, height, balance, visual access, and relationship to the landscape, had been carefully considered. M3 is the culmination of not only the skills I gained from M1 analysis and my M2 exploration, but also of all the skills I've gained through DD. Despite having a core understanding of grasshopper, the ability to go beyond the default grasshopper allows me to broaden my parametric design horizons and knowledge. This module also helps me with my iterative process. For this module, though, I proceeded to push each iteration even farther, polishing the design to produce a pretty complicated and well-thought-out design. As a result, the Pavillion design is well-resolved and successful, including a wide range of factors and design thinking.
